Fairie Janet Thompson
VALLONIA, Ind. – Fairie Janet Thompson, 89, of Vallonia, passed away on the early morning of Feb. 22, 2026, at Hoosier Health and Living of Brownstown.
Janet entered this life in Washington County, Ind. near New Philadelphia on Dec. 29, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Glen and Edna Mae (Woods) Dismore.
She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Baute) Patterson/Hamilton and her husband Stephen, Diana (Baute) White, Gary Baute and Alan Baute; her brothers, Richard Dismore and his wife Lony, sister Glenda (Dismore) Greathouse and her husband Richard. Sister-in-law Betty Dismore, grandchildren, Naomi Patterson, Tracy Patterson, Travis Patterson, Justin White and his wife Christain, Josh Banister, Trisha (Baute) Robertson, Joseph Baute, Michaela Baute, Hannah (Baute) Walker and her husband Shane, Kristina Baute, Christopher Baute, and Bethany Baute, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Janet’s life will be in the spring and announced at a later date. She will be buried at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Augusta with her beloved George.
