Forward Ryan McGuire was re-assigned to the Maine Mariners from the Iowa Heartlanders by the AHL’s Iowa Wild.
McGuire, 23, signed a two-way AHL contract with the Iowa Wild last July. He spent parts of two seasons in the ECHL with the Heartlanders after a season at Northeastern University.
The son of former NHL front office executive, coach and broadcaster Pierre McGuire played seven playoff games for the Heartlanders last season. This season, he has seven points in 35 games for the Heartlanders. He also played in two AHL games for the Wild.
