Hason Ward scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lift the Maine Celtics to a 114-104 win over the Long Island Nets in an NBA G League game on Thursday in Uniondale, New York.
Maine improves to 16-18 and keeps its playoff hopes alive. The Celtics are 1/2 game out of the eighth and final playoff spot with two games remaining. Long Island is in sixth place with an 18-14 record.
Amari Williams was one of seven Celtics in double figures, finishing with 20 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. Kendall Brown added 20 points, while John Tonje had 14, Jalen Bridges and Keon Johnson 13, and Max Shulga 11.
Terry Roberts had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Long Island.
