Long before Project 2025, Republicans joined Democrats in “providing for the general welfare,” making the constitutional imperative a government priority. Through fair tax rates funding essential services, Congress translated the Golden Rule into civic life. We were all the better for it. At the same time that public education and strong unions helped build a secure middle class, many made their fortunes.
I want others to have the opportunities that my family had: government policies that helped keep basics affordable; government programs that helped translate our hard work into success; and voter protections which gave us a say that special interests could not silence. We can do this again. That’s why I’m voting for Graham Platner for U.S. senator.
