The Maine Mariners signed forward Ben Allison on Thursday.
Allison, 23, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, played seven games for the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL in 2022-23. He then played three seasons at St. Mary’s University in Halifax. He was the leading scorer in U Sports (the Canadian governing body of college sports) this season with 23 goals and 27 assists.
The 6-foot-2, 192-pound forward, also played in the Quebec Junior Maritimes Junior Hockey League for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in 2022-23.
Maine returns to action at 2:07 p.m. Saturday against the Greensboro Gargolyes in Portland.
