Marcus Garrett sparked a fast start for the Greensboro Swarm with eight points and five assists in the first quarter, and the Maine Celtics were eliminated from the NBA G League playoffs Tuesday, losing 112-90 in an Eastern Conference quarterfinal in Greensboro, North Carolina.
All five starters scored in double figures for second-seeded Greensboro, which led from start to finish. The Swarm were ahead 39-31 after one quarter and 59-52 at halftime, then broke it open with a 12-0 run early in the third quarter.
Garrett and PJ Hall led the Swarm with 18 points each. Tosan Evbuomwan, who played nine games for the Celtics this season, added 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting.
John Tonje scored 22 points for the seventh-seeded Celtics. Jalen Bridges made four 3-pointers and finished with 19 points, and Amari Williams contributed 15 points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench.
