Graham Platner seems to have appeared out of nowhere and, from the very beginning, seems to have been able to outspend Janet Mills on expensive TV ads. Forgive me if I am wrong, but I worry that he could have been bought and sold by Republicans, perhaps without his knowledge, to run against Janet Mills (whom President Trump despises, and Trump does have a history of seeking revenge on those he believes have crossed him).
Mr. Platner does appear to be an attractive candidate on first look: a younger candidate, a local fisherman, but this is a six-year term for someone we know nothing about. I know and trust Janet Mills, and I will be voting for her.
