Until after Thanksgiving 2025, we were getting mail delivery six days a week. Then our mail delivery went to once a week. Our mailman was transferred to another route and according to USPS in Augusta they were shorthanded and unable to deliver.

Having informed mail delivery, we knew that the post office was receiving our mail. I went to the post office in December and waited in line for 30 minutes before I could get to the counter and ask for my mail. I told the counter person about our situation and our address and he went and checked and brought back some mail for me. When I got outside, I checked and found that he had given me my neighbor’s mail.

In January, my wife and I go south for three months, so we applied to have our mail forwarded. To date, we have only received one piece of mail here in South Carolina that was postmarked March 3.  Does anyone take any responsibility today to do their job? We are missing tax documents, bills that must be paid, checks and Lord knows what else. I am quite sure that there are many people who have issues with the USPS.
