Irma L. Chase

AUGUSTA – Irma L. Chase fell asleep in death on March 6, 2026, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Augusta, Maine in 1933 where she lived until her death. During that time, she worked at Jupiter Store for several years and then she became a State of Maine Employee until she retired.

Irma’s deep love for her Creator, Jehovah God (Psalms 83:18), was central to her life. She was devoted to her children and showed this by regularly checking on their well-being, offering encouragement, and loving guidance. She expressed her desire for them to enjoy happy and healthy lives.

Those in her family and dear friends will profoundly miss her loving and caring personality, and her sometimes feisty demeanor.

She loved everyone, showing this by making meals, calls and sending cards. She especially showed love for those going through difficult times and those she could cheer up with her positive and spirited comments. Her family and dear friends showed their great love for her by being in contact with her daily, through their many visits and correspondence. Irma was well known for her loyalty to those closest to her. She was an extremely generous person, always willing to share whatever she had.

Over the years, Irma faced many challenges, yet she met each with courage, dignity, and a steadfast determination. We are deeply grateful for her fine example and will strive to remain faithful and resilient as she was, with firm confidence in the promises of our loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah

She is survived by her son, David Chase of Windsor, Maine, her daughter, Karen Parkman of Hendersonville, NC; her grandchildren, Kelly Jewett of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Daryl Chase of Windsor, Maine; and her niece, Tammy Bracco of Matawan, NJ.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Theberge; her brother Robert (Buddy) Theberge and his wife Marie Theberge; her daughter, Debora Chase, and David’s wife Deborah Chase, who was like a daughter to Irma; her grandsons Daniel Chase and Alex Parkman.

We take comfort in knowing that Irma is now at rest, awaiting the Bible’s promised time when she will be restored to life on a peaceful Paradise on earth, reunited with her loved ones in perfect health and youth for having completed her life course as a faithful servant of Jehovah.

At her request there was no public funeral. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who knew and loved their mom, Irma.
