Several men got out of their cars clear a fallen tree from the westbound lane of Route 17 on Saturday in Readfield. The group, who said they were Kents Hill School alumni enroute to graduation there, removed what limbs and branches they could by hand. That cleared the view of the road so drivers could see if oncoming traffic. Shortly after that, two other men with chainsaws removed the trunk.
