SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Joshua Anderson of Washington, Maine, class of 2013 at Union College, was a presenter at the college’s recent annual Steinmetz Symposium Day.

Anderson presented researched titled “Development of a Photovoltaic-Based Solar Insolation Meter.”

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Two local students, Corbin Percy of Dresden, Maine, a game programming major, and Paige Rolfe of Augusta, Maine, a legal studies major, have been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Champlain College.

Neptune receives

achievement award

PORTLAND — Eryn Neptune of Readfield was honored at the University of Southern Maine’s annual Student Involvement Recognition Gala.

Neptune is this year’s recipient of the Senior Husky Achievement Award. Neptune is a graduating student, a second-year resident assistant, a tour guide for the university and member of the volleyball team.

at awards ceremony

CROOKSTON, Minn. — Jessica Charles of Belgrade Lakes, Maine, a senior majoring in animal science at the University of Minnesota Crookston, recently received the Outstanding Equine Science Pre-Vet Student Award during the university’s annual awards ceremony.

Students volunteer

during spring break

STANDISH — Two local students at Saint Joseph’s College spent their spring break participating in weeklong volunteer service projects.

Albenie Belanger of Augusta, a junior sociology-social work student, volunteered at The Romero Center in Camden, N.J.

Katherine Haas of Gardiner, a junior human resource management student, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and delivered aid to victims of Hurricane Sandy in Westchester County, N.Y.
