TOGUS — Spectrum Generations’ Family Caregiver Support Program will offer a six-week Maine Savvy Caregiver training starting July 9.

The course will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday mornings, July 9 through Aug. 13, at the VA Maine Health Care System, Building 207, Room 135, 1 VA Center, Togus. Sessions include training, interactive exercises, discussion and more.

Participants will learn what dementia is and how it affects the individual and develop skills on how to interact and communicate with a person with dementia. Caregivers will also find out where to go for resources and services.
