AUGUSTA — South Parish Congregational Church will hold a drive to collect cleaning supplies to make Emergency Cleanup Buckets to be distributed by Church World Service.
Supplies enable people to clean up after a flood, hurricane, tornado, or other disaster, according to the Church World Service website. Church members will donate supplies and solicit donations from local companies and stores. All donations are tax deductible.
The drive will continue through March 31. Buckets will be assembled after church on Sunday, April 7. For more information, call Sue Gayne at 622 0552 or email SouthParishMissions@gmail.com.
Winter carnival
set for Saturday
AUGUSTA — A free winter carnival sponsored by Kennebec Community Church will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Buker Community Center.
There will be games, food, a clothes giveaway, giant inflatables and bounce houses. There is no cost and families are welcome.

annual meeting
PITTSTON — The First Congregational Church of Pittston will hold its annual
business meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in the church vestry.
The agenda will include electing a moderator, a review of reports, election of church officers and other business.
Movie night
set for Sunday
GARDINER — A free movie night will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Winter Street Baptist, 32 Winter St.
