This election offers Winthrop and Readfield residents an opportunity to elect a proven community leader and, importantly, someone who can contribute to improving health care in our state.
Scott Davis, Republican candidate for House District 82, has three decades of experience in insurance and firsthand experience as a business owner in purchasing health insurance for his employees.
He understands what businesses and employees face in ever-rising health care costs. Davis is president of the non-profit DFD Russell Medical Centers and is committed to addressing problems of cost, access and quality of health care.
As partisanship dominates local and national politics and problems go unresolved, we need leaders who are willing to learn, listen and take action on our many challenges. I am convinced that Davis is that leader and he will follow in the tradition of Pat Flood, who served our interests in the House with distinction.
