WATERVILLE — Reid Nutter hit a two-run triple, and Josh Doolan drove in three runs, leading Post 51 to a 10-2 win over Lincoln County in the second game of a American Legion doubleheader sweep at Thomas College.
Post 51 (14-1) won Game 1, 6-2.
Matt Woodbury and Jake Dexter each had a single and a double in game two for Post 51. Pat Breton earned the win.
In game one, Isiah Fleming pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and two walks whlle striking out eight. Zach Mathieu had three hits for Post 51, while Nutter drove in three runs.
Junior Legion
Windham 2, Fairfield Post 14 0: Windham scored two unearned runs in the first inning to take a win over Fairfield Post 14 in Fairfield.
Ben Frazee led Fairfield offensively with two singles. Cole Robinson struck out six batters for Fairfield.
Windham was led by Josh Dugas, who had two singles and an RBI.
