Congratulations to Meaghan Maloney for her nomination as the Democratic candidate for district attorney on the November ballot.
Her performance at the special joint Kennebec and Somerset County Democratic Committee nomination meeting on July 15 earned her a well-deserved win.
Maloney’s education, legal work and legislative experience, along with her energy and fresh outlook, will provide the people of Kennebec and Somerset counties the diligent pursuit of justice for victims of crime through fair, ethical and tough prosecutions of criminal offenders. She will create a safer community through positive partnerships with law enforcement and other community members.
I believe that Maloney will earn and hold the trust and respect of the citizens that she has pledged to serve as she earns their votes, as she has earned mine.
