WAYNE—An Augusta woman has been charged after allegedly chasing her sister’s boyfriend with a knife.

Bonnie Gilmore, 28, was arrested Tuesday and charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, said Chief Deputy Everett Flannery of the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.

Kennbec County Sheriff Deputy Scott Cyrway and Sgt. Scott Taylor rushed to Pond Road a little before 10:30 a.m., Tuesday.

“The original caller said to hurry because her sister had a knife,” Flannery said. “Then they hung up.”
Cyrway arrived to find a woman, found later to be Gilmore, standing in the road with a knife. She was arrested without incident, Flannery said.

Deputies later learned Gilmore’s sister and her boyfriend arrived at Gilmore’s mother’s home while Gilmore was there.

“According to people there, there was a notice given to the (boyfriend) that he wasn’t to be on the property,” Flannery said. “He wasn’t. He was waiting in the road for his girlfriend to collect some property.”

Gilmore, carrying a knife, reportedly confronted the boyfriend in the roadway. The boyfriend was able to outrun Gilmore, who gave chase, until deputies arrived.

Nobody was injured, Flannery said.
