I’ve served with Republican Matt Pouliot on the Augusta Planning Board for the last three years. Pouliot is now running for House District 57 from Augusta, and I know he is up to the task.

So many of the problems we face as a state and indeed a nation stem from people taking ideologically entrenched positions and refusing to compromise.

In my time with him on the planning board, I’ve found Pouliot to be a practical reformer; someone who works for the best solution to a problem without ideological biases.

If you vote to send Pouliot to the State House, you can expect him to vote for his constituents — not blindly for his party — just as he has done in city government.
