AUGUSTA — The Maine State Museum will join 1,400 other museums nationwide on Saturday, Sept. 29, in Museum Day Live!, which means the museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. free of charge.
Those who want to come to the museum that day must go to Smithsonian Magazine’s website www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday) to download a free ticket for two to present for admission.
Last year, the event drew more than 350,000 museum-goers nationwide, according to a press release from the Maine State Museum.
