We say we don’t like negative ads or gridlock. We say we want politicians who will vote their conscience, who are independent of external interests.
The Republican Party and Chamber of Commerce are not spending millions of dollars on Charlie Summers’ campaign to elect someone to vote independently of their national agenda. His positions in debates confirm his commitment to those outside influences. He will not challenge them.
We in Maine have the opportunity to challenge this increasingly partisan environment.
Angus King is independent. He is thoughtful and is not beholden to outside interests. He is a problem solver, not an ideologue. He is free to represent Maine.
Once again, we in Maine can lead and make it clear to the nation that we will act to break gridlock and support a government that works.
All we need to do is vote. Vote for King.
