GARDINER — A mom prom to raise money for the Girls and Boys Club of Greater Gardiner Playground Fund will be held on Saturday, April 28.

Sherry Paul, a board member and chairwoman of the event, said the mom prom is a national event held to raise money for different charities and causes. Women wear their old prom gowns, bridesmaids dresses or wedding gowns.

The club is trying to raise $24,000 for a new playground.

The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Gardiner American Legion, 46 Griffin St. From 8 p.m. until midnight, DJ tom will provide music. Tickets are $20, $25 at the door. Punch and desserts will be served along with a cash bar.

Belgrade selectpersons to meet at community center

BELGRADE — The location of Tuesday’s Board of Selectpersons meeting has been changed to 6:30 p.m. at the North Belgrade Community Center, not the Town Office.
