WATERVILLE — Katie Graichen had two hits, scored two runs and drive in three to lift the Colby College softball team to an 8-0 win over Thomas College on Thursday at Crafts Field.

Lauren Becker pitched a complete game to earn the win for Colby (8-16). The game was stopped after five innings because of the eight-run rule. Becker struck out six and walked one. She also had two hits, scored a run and drove in a run.

Meghan Lewia added two hits, an RBI and scored twice for Colby, while Brianne Wheeler, Lindsay Peterson and Erin Caputo each had a hit and an RBI.

Sara Moynihan had both hits for Thomas (12-21-1).

Baseball

Lyndon State 8-1, UM-Farmington 7-4: The Beavers trailed 1-0 and had just one hit in the seventh inning of the second game of their doubleheader, before rallying for four runs to earn a split with the Hornets in Lyndon Center, Vt.

Matt Woodbury and Christ Whitney each had a two-run double in the seventh for UMF (7-23, 6-13 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference East Division).

Lyndon State won the first game 8-7, rallying from two runs down in the ninth inning to earn the win.

Woodbury had three hits in the first game for UMF.

Thomas 2-4, Husson 1-5: Waterville graduate Tim Locke allowed six hits and fanned four to lead the Terriers to the win in the first game of a doubleheader in Bangor. Thomas scored twice in the fifth inning on an RBI single from Ethan Hurley and an error. Jeff Richardson had three hits for Thomas (22-10) while Cody Vigue and Wes Perrault each had two. Tom Babb pitched the seventh inning for the save. Husson falls to 14-16.

Husson scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning to win Game 2.
