OAKLAND — Necole Harrison smacked an RBI single down the left-field line to drive in Emily York in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Messalonskee softball team beat Erskine Academy 1-0 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Friday.
Harrison had two hits, while Kylee Knight led all hitters with three singles for Messalonskee (10-2).
Messalonskee pitcher Kassi Michaud pitched a complete game shutout, allowing three hits.
Erskine falls to 9-3.
Hall-Dale 2, Madison 1: Carylanne Wolfington singled and scored on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning as Hall-Dale beat Madison in a Mountain Valley Conference game in Farmingdale.
Natasha Brown followed Wolfington with a single in the seventh inning, sending Wolfington to third. Wolfington scored on an error on a ball hit by Eva Shepherd.
Olivia Maynard earned the win for Hall-Dale (7-5), allowing one run on six hits, while striking out six and walking none.
Emily McKenney struck out four and walked one for Madison (9-2). Courtney Taylor had a double, a single and an RBI.
Monmouth 7, Mt. Abram 0: Reen Kahl pitched a one-hitter, striking out 18 without issuing a walk to lead the host Mustangs to the MVC win.
Kahl helped her own cause with a double and a single for Monmouth (10-0) while Kylee Kemp added two doubles and Angie Bechard two singles.
Mt. Abram falls to 2-8.
Lisbon 13, Carrabec 1, 5 innings: Chantel Bisson hit a two-run double and Kimber Morse struck out seven batters to lead the Greyhounds to a win over the Cobras.
Ashlee Knight stuck out five batters for Carrabec (1-9). Knight also had two hits and an RBI.
MCI 6, Belfast 2: Katie George had a three-run double in a five-run sixth inning to lift the Huskies to the KVAC B win in Pittsfield.
Hillary Maloon and Courtney Fowler each tripled for MCI (5-7).
Mikayla Cummings had a triple for Belfast (1-11).
Skowhegan 13, Mt. Ararat 6: The Indians pounded out 16 hits on their way to the KVAC A win in Topsham. Morgan Buker had three singles and three RBIs for Skowhegan (7-5) while Amanda Johnson added two singles, a double and an RBI. Shelby Obert chipped in with a single, a double and two RBIs while Anna lorette had a home run and two RBIs.
Taylor Pare had a single and two RBIs for Mt. Ararat (4-8).
Winslow 6, Morse 2: Megan Richards doubled, singled and drove in two run to lead the Black Raiders to a KVAC B win in Winslow.
Richards also earned the win, striking out 10 and walking two in a complete-game effort for Winslow (8-4). Jenn Poulin and Jordyn Pomerleau each added two singles and Alli Leclair chipped in with a triple.
Gardiner 8, Waterville 1: Kristal Smith pitched a one-hitter while striking out five and walking two to lead the host Tigers to the KVAC B win.
Brittany Rollins had three singles for Gardiner (8-5) while Taylor Banister had two singles and three RBIs. Kylee Granholm chipped in with two singles.
Allie Forkey had a single in the fourth inning for Waterville (6-7).
Edward Little 12, Lawrence 2: Brooke Reynolds had three singles and Ashley Arnold had a double and a single as the Eddies beat the Bulldogs in a KVAC A game in Fairfield.
Kesley Boucher, Danni Rock and Calli Murray each added two singles for EL (5-9).
Lawrence falls to 1-11.
