AUGUSTA — Ryan Edwards struck out 11 batters and didn’t issue a walk to lead Cony to a 5-1 win over Brunswick in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A baseball action Monday.

Ben Lucas doubled home a pair of runs in the fourth inning for the Rams (9-5) in the fourth inning while Edwards and Tayler Carrier also doubled and Zack Lachance singled twice.

Trent Anderson singled and doubled for Brunswick (2-12).

Erskine 5, Mt. Ararat 1: Shyler Scates struck out 10 and didn’t walk a batter to lead the Eagles to a KVAC A win in South China.

Tom Grady belted a three-run triple in the third inning with two outs for Erskine (9-4). Teammate Brenden Wood adde a single and double while Torrey Charnock doubled and singled twice for Mt. Ararat (3-10).

Maranacook 9, MCI 4: Ryan Vanek and Nate Johnson combined to strike out 11 as the Black Raiders beat the Huskies in a KVAC B game in Pittsfield.

Vanek earned the win to improve to 2-2. Cam Brochu and Jake Murphy both doubled for Maranacook (8-6).

Dylan Watrous had a double and a single, while Cam Michaud had two singles for MCI (0-12).

Winthrop 6, Mtn. Valley 3: Jared Hanson went 2 for 4 and Tyler Reeve pitched a complete game to lead the Ramblers to a Mountain Valley Conference win in Rumford.

Reeve allowed five hits and pitched a complete game as Winthrop improved to 7-4. He struck out nine.

Mountain Valley dropped to 6-6.

Hall-Dale 4, Monmouth 1: The Bulldogs scored three runs in the fourth inning and another in the fifth en route to the MVC win.

Zac Plummer pitched into the fifth inning and got the win with relief help from Taylor Lockhart. Kyle Fletcher, Josh Fournier and Billy Cummings each singled twice for Monmouth (3-9).

Hall-Dale is 10-3.

Oak Hill 1, Winslow 0: Josh Martin threw a complete game three-hit shutout to lead Oak Hill to the KVAC B win.

Martin struck out 14. Oak Hill (3-11) scored the only run of the game in the sixth inning, when Jake Banister scored on Brady Dionne’s two out single.

For Winslow (10-4), Dylan Hapworth and Logan Hewes combined on a three-hitter.

Boys lacrosse

Oak Hill 11, Lincoln 2: Jon Averill had three goals as the Raiders beat the Eagles in a KVAC B game.

Trever Samson added two goals and two assists for Oak Hill (7-3). Matty Martin earned the win with six saves.

Jake Millett and Ben Stone both scored a goal for Lincoln Academy (1-9).
