UNITY — Brian Whitney of Burnham completed a weekend sweep, winning the Late Model feature Saturday and the Butch Burgess Memorial Race on Sunday at Unity Raceway.

On Sunday, Whitney won the first heat race to earn the pole position alongside second heat winner Jeff Burgess, the son of the race’s namesake. Jeff Burgess was driving a borrowed car because of engine trouble and never tested Whitney, who led the entire race.

David “Deuce” Folsom battled through traffic to finish second and Ben Clark took third.

On Saturday, Mark Dodge of Unity led easily after 18 laps, but Frank Moulton of Burnham took the lead after a restart, and Dodge was later taken out in a front-stretch crash. Whitney seized the lead from Moulton with about 12 laps to go and coasted to the win.

Folsom placed third, followed by Jeff Burgess and Ajay Picard.

Also Saturday, Chris King held off Brent Chase for victory in the 20-lap Wildcat feature. Rayn Robinson was t hird and Ed Gilbair of Skowhegan four.

Chase came back to beat King in the 34-lap feature Sunday.

In the Late Model Pro Four, Augusta’s Norm Cummings Jr. nosed out Steve Rackliff of Starks for the victory in the six-car field. Tim Robinson of Clinton was third, followed by Alex Fernald and Scott Horne.

Zach Audet, who won the Monster Mini Stock title last season, took the checkered flag Saturday as he cruised to the win over Farmingdale’s Tim Collins. Cole Robinson of Clinton held off Cornville’s Jayson Bosworth and Burnham’s Matt Shaw for third place.

In the Flyin’ 4 feature, Kayla Allen of Penobscot took home her first division win, edging out points leader Mike Dulaney of Richmond. Benton’s Henry Boudreau, Oakland’s Mike Mathieu, and Benton’s Samantha Farnham also placed in the top five.

In the Challenger division, the top five finishers were Ken Lord, Robert MacDonald, Christie Foster, Matt Picard, and Robert Corson.

Also Sunday, Zach Audet drove Ed Archer’s Flyin’ 4 to victory and Justin Moore won the challenger race.

Pro All Stars Series

NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. — Cassius Clark of Farmington claimed victory Saturday in the Pro All Stars Series 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park.

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. took second place in his 2012 PASS debut, followed by Hallowell’s Johnny Clark in third, DJ Shaw in fourth, and Travis Benjamin of Morrill in fifth.

Berwick’s Joey Doiron, the points leader entering the race, finished eighth, and Lonnie Sommerville, who was second in the standings after two races, came in 12th.

Oxford Plains Speedway

OXFORD — TJ Brackett won the Late Model Division feature, beating 27 other cars Saturday night.

Other winners were Matt Williams in the Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy Strictly Stock, Rob Greenleaf in the Mini Stock, Pat Maloy in the Oxford Outlaw Number 1, and Troy Jordan in the Oxford Outlaw Number 2.

Speedway 95

HERMON — John Kalel, Jr. won the Late Model feature Saturday night.

Other winners were Steve Moulton in Sportman; Andrew McLaughlin in Street; Bradley Dolan in Sport Four; and Jeremy Scott in Bomber.
