Should local police officers be equipped with body cameras?

A Waterville committee that recently reviewed a police shooting of a knife-wielding man is also recommending that the city police department explore equipping its officers with body cameras. The topic has been raised many times in recent years across the country, following calls for additional accountability in the wake of deaths resulting from police confrontations.
