Norma E. (Hughes) Goff

KINGSTON, N.H. – Norma E. (Hughes) Goff, 94, formerly of Kingston, and Deerfield, N.H., died April 18, 2021 at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood.Born in Madison, Maine, daughter of the late Richard Hughes and Hallie (Adams) (Hughes) King and stepdaughter of the late Joseph King, she was raised in East Madison and graduated Madison High School.She attended Skowhegan Business School and first worked as a photo colorist for Olin Mills and as a waitress at Gene’s Restaurant in Skowhegan, where she lived for several years. She later moved to Bangor and was employed as an appliance salesperson for Sears, Roebuck & Co. An 18 year resident of Kittery before moving to Deerfield, N.H. in 2004, Mrs. Goff was an avid reader and an accomplished cook and also enjoyed crocheting and completing crossword puzzles.She was predeceased in 2017 by her husband of 70 years, Ernest L. Goff, and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Janet Densmore of Kingston, and Laurie Dunne of York, Maine; eight grandchildren; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Stevens, two sons-in-law, Paul Dunne and Philip Densmore; a great-grandson Steven Batakis; and two sisters Thelma Vigue and Irene Gaurino.A private family interment service will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans’ Cemetery, Boscawen, N.H.
