SOUTH CHINA — Erskine Academy students, staff and community members recently participated in the school’s fifth annual Walk to Cure Breast Cancer.

The event raised $3,111, which will be donated to MaineGeneral’s Breast Care Program in memory of Amanda Edwards ’09, who supported the fight against breast cancer. The Walk, which was held on the school’s track, was organized by Erskine’s Health Careers Group in an effort to bring awareness to the issue of breast cancer.

Erskine thanks all who pledged and walked as well as Hannaford supermarkets for donating balloons and Fieldstone Quick Stop for donating gift certificates.
