SOUTH CHINA — Isaac Beloff scored eight goals and had two assists to lead the Cony boys lacrosse team to a 12-11 victory over Erskine on Friday.
Casey Mills had two goals and three assists, while Duncan Hayes and Jake Geneseo each scored for Cony (2-2).
Michael Nichols scored six goals and had two assists for Erskine (0-5), while Austin Nichols added three goals and two assists. Brad Kirkpatrick had four assists.
SOFTBALL
MESSALONSKEE 19, MT. BLUE 2: Brooke Martin hit two home runs and finished with four hits as the Eagles rolled to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory in Oakland.
Winning pitcher Kate Douglass also homered for Messalonskee while Maddy Card had three hits.
Kierra Bumford, Kristen Dube each had two hits for the Eagles as well.
WATERVILLE 11, ERSKINE ACADEMY 8: Winning pitcher Raylee Gilbert had three hits to lead the Purple Panthers to the KVAC victory in South China.
The Purple Panthers scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out the victory.
Ebba Heaton-Jones also homered for Waterville (3-3).
Mackenzie Toner homered for Erskine.
HALL-DALE 12, OAK HILL 0, 5 innings: Rita Benoit tossed a no-hitter, striking out 10 batters while walking one, as the Bulldogs cruised in Farmingdale.
Benoit also had three hits, including a double. Sarah Benner also had three hits and Zoe Soule had two doubles for Hall-Dale (6-0).
Oak Hill fell to 1-2.
LAWRENCE 16, MARANACOOK 9: Sarah Poli had a home run, two doubles and four hits altogether, and the Bulldogs rallied from an early deficit in Fairfield.
Kaylee Elkins had four hits for Lawrence (5-1), which trailed 5-0 in the first and 7-3 in the third. Jazmin Johnson, Sage Reed and Jade Sullivan each had three hits, including a double. Emily Hagerty (two hits) and Maylie Knox also doubled.
Allie Labelle had a grand slam for the Black Bears (1-3), while Esme Jamison (two hits) and Brooke Stratton doubled.
WINSLOW 12, MCI 11: On Thursday, Winslow rallied in the top of the seventh to take the KVAC B win in Pittsfield.
Gracie Moore had four hits for MCI, including three home runs.
BASEBALL
CONY 8, BANGOR 3: Kam Douin struck out seven in six innings, and also had two hits and a double to lead Cony (4-3) in Bangor.
Bobby Stolt and Brayden Barbeau also had a pair of hits for Cony.
Gavin Young went three innings and Brayden Caron went four for Bangor (4-3).
LISBON 10, MT. ABRAM 2: Ethan Brown had a pair of doubles and had four RBIs to lead the Greyhounds in Lisbon.
Levi Tibbetts doubled for Lisbon (3-1).
Kenyon Pissbury scored on a passed ball for Mt. Abram.
TELSTAR 13, CARRABEC 3: Winning pitcher Cain Shatzer had 11 strikeouts and scattered three hits to lead the Rebels in Bethel.
Cameron Palmer had two hits, including a double, and four RBIs for Telstar. Bode Leach had a double and a single for Rebels (3-4).
Luke Carey, Trenton Smith and William Lawrence each singled for Carrebec (1-4).
OAK HILL 5, HALL-DALE 4: Sam Lindsay drove in two runs for the Raiders against the Bulldogs in Wales.
Ethan Vattaso went six innings on the mound, striking out 11 and Kyle Delano came in relief to pick up the win.
Max Byron had a hit and scored two runs for Hall-Dale. He also pitched five innings in a no-decision striking out six.
