Evelyn L. Gooch

NEW LONDON, N.H. – Evelyn L. Gooch, 95, formerly of Richmond, passed away on May 29, 2021 at a local hospital in New Hampshire.

She was born on March 11, 1926 in Jacksonville, the daughter of

Horace and Lena Gooch.

Evelyn graduated from Bar Harbor High School in 1943. She then went on to attend the Massachusetts Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1947. Evelyn later worked at the Greenwich Hospital as a nurse for 26 years.

Evelyn was a member of the Dresden Richmond Methodist Church in Richmond. She enjoyed playing golf and spending summer vacations at the family home in Bar Harbor.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers Earl and Gordon W. Gooch.

Evelyn is survived by a niece, Gayle Cadieux of Connecticut and a nephew, Gordon E Gooch “Rusty” of New Hampshire.

Per Evelyn’s request, there will be no services held at this time.
