Annette M. Bouffard

PITTSFIELD – Annette M. Bouffard, 60, passed away peacefully at her home after a battle with cancer on July 15, 2021, with her family by her side.

She was born on Feb. 16, 1961, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Normand J. and Lorraine (McLaggan) Bouffard Sr. She attended Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Maine Central Institute, class of 1979. She was formally employed by the Edward’s Company in Pittsfield and had worked in the mental health field for many years. She was an avid reader, a music lover, and a collector of antiques, jewelry and clothes. She enjoyed horses, taking long rides, visiting friends, and watching her favorite TV show, Finding Bigfoot.

She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Bouffard of Pittsfield; two sisters, Mary Houston and husband Shawn of Pittsfield and Kathy Kitchin and husband Chip of Detroit; two nieces, Whitney Houston and companion CJ Breidt of Newport and Ashley Reazor and husband Craig of Detroit; nephew and godson, Trevor Kitchin and companion Ashley Connor of Detroit, nephew, Bryson Bouffard and companion Brooke McLaughlin of Pittsfield; great niece, Eleanor Breidt of Newport; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; dear friends, Julee Meltzer, Charlie Russell, Marcia Witham, and Teia Goodwin; and her beloved cat, Gretchen.

She was predeceased by her father, Normand Bouffard Sr.; brother, Normand “Bub” Jr; and grandparents, Cecil and Erma McLaggan and Joseph and Mary Bouffard.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, July 23, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, July 25, at the funeral home. A gathering will follow at the Broken Putter, 382 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A committal at the Village Cemetery, Route 220, in Detroit will be held at a later date.
