FARMINGTON — The Farmington Emblem Club 460 recently held its January meeting. Four $500 scholarship awards were given out at the meeting and State President Cathy McCollett was honored.

Three new members were also initiated: Lloyd Leeman, Stephen Cutler and Harold O. Small.

Drug Awareness chairman Sylvia Richards thanked Leeman for the donation of the quilt which was raffled off in December. Norma DeRocle won the raffle.

A new member was voted on and approved to be initiated at the February meeting. The 50/50 raffle winner this month was Linda Abbott, mystery gift Mabel Cox and Pot of Gold Janet Mills.

The club will host a bluegrass concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Nordica Auditorium. For more information, call Stan Keach at 397-2241.

A Valentine dance is set for 7- 11 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Farmington Elks Lodge. Tickets are available at Mooseville and from any member. For more information, call Shannon Smith at 778-4726.
