Gerald Brandt Sr.

AUGUSTA – Gerald Brandt Sr., 77, of Pittston went home to the Lord on August 26, 2021.

He was born in New Rochelle, N.Y. on May 5, 1944, a son of the late Aldrich and Ruth (Renard) Brandt. He was raised in Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire by his foster parents, John and Laura Livermore. He was a graduate of Gardiner High School.

After high school, he went to tractor trailer school in Cherry Hill, N.J. He worked as a truck driver for Schiavi Homes for many years. Gerald was known as a “Jack of all trades”. He loved old cars, trucks and built old model cars as a favorite hobby. He was a past member of M.A.C.M., the Train Club and the CB Operators Club. He will be deeply missed.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Lily; his sons Kevin Brandt and his wife Jodele and Robert Brandt. He also leaves behind his grandson, Hunter; brothers-in-law, Charles Lyon and his wife Ann and Robin Lyon, a sister, Mary Wood and her husband Doug, a stepbrother, Richard Jurren and his wife Joy, two half-sisters, Cheryl Knappe and Jane Schoff and her husband Perry; his nieces, nephews; a cousin; and his beloved cats Twilight, Smokie and Princess Lilie.

He was predeceased by a son, Gerald Brandt Jr.
