FARMINGDALE — A woman from Farmingdale and man from New York City were arrested on drug charges early Tuesday in Farmingdale, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

MDEA agents arrested Deanna Sampson, 44, and Mikarold Majuste, 21, on charges of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (fentanyl and cocaine), according to Katy England, social media coordinator for the Maine State Police.

England said the MDEA had been conducting an investigation into the alleged sale of fentanyl and cocaine from a house on Northern Avenue in Farmingdale. After obtaining a search warrant, police arrived at the house and were there for several hours, according to police.

When police arrived and ordered Majuste to come outside, the suspect barricaded himself inside the house, which Sampson owns.

Police eventually fired tear gas into the house, after which Majuste surrendered.

England said no one was injured during the incident.
