READFIELD — Regional School Unit 38 Marancook Adult Education has been awarded a mini grant by the Maranacook Education Foundation to provide bus transportation for adults and adult education students to visit college campuses.

There will be visits to the Augusta and Farmington campuses of the University of Maine, Kennebec Valley Community College, Central Maine Community College and Southern Maine Community College, as well as various apprenticeship programs and the Career Center.

“The grant is geared toward adult and adult education students to get them on college campuses and thinking about applying to colleges,” said Deb Bomaster, director of Maranacook Adult Education. The grant runs through January 2013.
