Good government in the town of China requires the election of outstanding candidates. The best candidates offer personal qualities such as independence, nonpartisanship, positivity, knowledge, balance and modesty. They also need to possess a demonstrated record of community achievement and action.
Jeanne Marquis is a superb candidate who meets that test; she is running in the Nov. 2 election for a position on the China Select Board. As a resident and registered voter in China, I will support Jeanne.
I respectfully ask voters in China to consider casting their vote on Nov. 2 for Jeanne Marquis; she is the best choice for our community. Please see for yourself, and register to watch the Candidates Forum via Zoom sponsored by the China Public Library on Oct. 17 at 2 p.m.
