Camden Public Library plans to host musical instrument creator and sound therapist Jim Doble at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, in the Amphitheatre on Atlantic Avenue for the final community “sound bath” of the season. This program will occur in the dark and incorporate spooky sounds.
“Come enjoy a special nighttime inner journey with the meditative sounds of gongs and chimes. This will be a sonic meditation, a timeless moment to rest, reflect, and let go with a little bit of ‘eerie’ thrown in to help us get in the mood for All Hallows Eve,” said Doble, according to a news release from the library.
Doble will be joined by La Lefebvre. Participants are encouraged to dress warmly, and to bring a flashlight and something comfortable to sit or lay on. Donations will be accepted, with a portion benefiting the library.
To attend, contact Doble at 207-785-2212 or [email protected]. Registration is suggested in order to be notified if there are any changes or cancelations to this program.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
