AUBURN – Margaret E. (Gray) Vaugh, 97, died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester, Mass.
She was born in Madison, daughter of the late George E. and Edwina V. (Yeaton) Gray, and lived in Auburn for over 70 years.
Mrs. Vaugh graduated from Madison High School in Madison, and later from Becker Junior College. She spent most of her life caring for her home and family. She enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, baking brownies, and especially loved reading.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Francis R. Vaugh of Auburn, who died in 2013.
She is survived by three children, Stephen D. Vaugh of Saugerties, N.Y., Elaine F. Murphy of West Warwick, R.I., and Brian M. Vaugh and his wife Mary of Paxton, Mass.; two grandsons, Ryan Murphy and Kyle Murphy; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling hours are Saturday, Nov. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, Mass. Burial will be held at a later date at Athearn Cemetery in Anson.
