DAMARISCOTTA — A reception for River Arts’ holiday show is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at 36 Elm St.
The galleries are filled with fine art and fine craft by Maine artists.
From classical to whimsical, the show aims to offer something for everyone with paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache and alcohol ink.
Fine craft, fiber arts, textiles, jewelry, sculpture, collage, wood, photography and assemblages round out the offerings.
The holiday show will run from Nov. 23 through Jan. 1.
Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Masks are required in the gallery.
River Arts will be closed from Jan. 2-7 to spruce up the gallery. The gallery will reopen to the public on Jan. 8. Artwork for the “Black & White” show can dropped off starting Jan 8.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
