Gailiene Rosalyn Egan

SKOWHEGAN – Gailiene Rosalyn Egan, 69, of Skowhegan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday Nov. 23, 2021 at Redington Fairview Hospital. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 4 1952, a daughter of the late Faye (Rubenstein) and Matthew Lach.

For several years she was a telephone operator for “Ma Bell” before moving up into management. She then became self employed and worked as a massage therapist and an online legal insurance sales associate before retiring several years ago. She enjoyed life in general and had an excellent sense of humor. She was always the “Life” of any party or social gathering.

Gailiene is survived by her husband Stan Tyks and a daughter: Charlene Miranda.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother: Paul Kapson who passed away in 2019.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 15, at Smart and Edwards Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m., followed by Committal Services at The Maine Veterans Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta at 2 p.m.
