It seems that the engineers are having a problem seeing the trees because of the forest.

Common sense dictates that the Morning Sentinel building is recent and sound construction and should be the better choice for a new police station.

The proposed new building will be located in an area that could flood before water even reached the level of Sentinel building. That means police protection could be in jeopardy every spring.

The best argument is cost for the existing building is much less, and we don’t need to have fancy offices placed exactly where individuals want them. In this time frame all of us need to economize and use a little common sense. The station will be secure and very useful once everyone gets on the bandwagon and gives good input on how to use the new much larger space.
