James A. Kouletsis
FAIRFIELD – James A. Kouletsis, of Fairfield, “Jim K”, passed peacefully in his sleep at home on Dec. 26, 2021. Born Oct. 26, 1931, in Manchester, N.H., to Antonios and Polixena Kouletsis. He graduated from Central High School in 1949. He went on to get a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in 1954. He later obtained a Masters in CS from Texas A&M University in 1966.
He joined the U.S.A.F. in 1955 and retired as a major after 20 years of service in 1975. He then worked 20 years as a systems analyst for Sperry-Unisys retiring again in 1995.
His love for his family was immeasurable but the kindness and respect he showed everyone made him a unique human being. Jim K, will be missed by many. He saw the best in everyone and every situation.
He is survived by his greatest love, his wife of 65 years, Leena (née Saikkonen). His children, Jukka (wife Bonnie), Lisa, Nora (Mehrhoff, husband Charles), Raya, Philip (wife Lisa), and Kimo ( wife Evelyn). His grandchildren, Lillian Stiles, husband Ben) Lydia (Strohmeyer, husband Alec), James, Carley(Fahey), Isabelle, Gabriella, Daniella, Nicklaus, Kayla, Mia, Kimo and Alisha. His great-grandchildren, Lena and Emmett.
Last of a great generation he was preceded in death by his brothers Christos and Peter.
