WELLINGTON – Donald Clifford “Red” Polley, 74, of Wellington, passed away on Jan. 30, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Lewiston on August 29, 1947, the son of John and Gwynneth (Smith) Polley. Donald grew up in Litchfield on the family farm. He attended schools in Litchfield and Monmouth.

Donald drove trucks and worked at an egg farm. Even after retiring, Donald continued to work, milking cows, cutting firewood, and doing odd jobs for friends and neighbors in Wellington. In his spare time, he tinkered on his tractor and collected chainsaws.

Donald was predeceased by his parents, Gwynneth in 2001 and John in 2006.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Lorry (Bubier) of Wellington; his children Marsha Pollen Bonin and husband Paul Bonin of Chelsea, Alicia (Polley) Bubier and husband Tony Bubier of Wales, Lance Polley and his partner Caitlyn Little of Monmouth; grandchildren, Taylor Bubier, Tanner Bubier, Benjamin Polley, Lillian Polley and Isabella Colgan; his siblings; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date
