Skidompha Public Library in Damariscotta has free tickets to the Portland Symphony Orchestra’s performance of “The Wild Symphony,” based on Dan Brown’s picture book of the same name.
The performance is set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Merrill Auditorium, 20 Myrtle St., im Portland, according to a news release from the library.
The library also will have free copies of the book to hand out. The book follows a story of a mouse who conducts a “Wild Symphony” of animals. There is a piece of music to accompany each of the 21 animal characters introduced in the story, and Brown created a book that lets readers listen to the music on their phone as they enter the world of each page.
Skidompha expressed gratitude to the orchestra for collaborating on this project and to The Anonimo Foundation for its financial support.
The orchestra has clear COVID-19 safety protocols (including masking and vaccination) to which all attendees must adhere. The complete safety protocols are at portlandsymphony.org/covid-19.
The ticket reservation deadline is Friday, March 4.
