Richard “Dickey” “Clem” W. Clement

NORRIDGEWOCK – Richard “Dickey” “Clem” W. Clement, 74, passed on Feb. 22, 2022 at his home in Norridgewock with his loving family and his best friend Kenny by his side. He was born in Smithfield on May 7, 1947 to Theron and Florist “Tickey”(Warren) Clement.

He was a graduate of Skowhegan High Class of 1965, where he was a member of the State Champion baseball team. Upon graduation Dicky went to work for Scott Paper n Winslow where he worked in the wood yard. Then, moving over to S.D. Warren (Sappi) where he worked in the wood yard and retired after 36 years. After retiring from the mill, he was able to follow his dream of growing and selling his veggies, which he did for 19 years.

Dicky married the love of his life, Barbara Johnson, on July 13, 1968. They were married for 53 years. They had two children, Robin and Ryan, as well as two grandchildren Dominic and Daxton.

Dicky loved his sports, from playing them, to watching them, coaching them and most especially watching his kids and grandchildren play. He had a great affection for the outdoor where he spent a lot of time hunting and fishing. This fall he got to see both his grandchildren get their first deer which was one of his greatest joys. He enjoyed his family camp with the many friends and family that always joined his for snowmobiling trips. The more, the merrier, he always said. Especially when it came to a card game. Dick loved a good card game.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Clement; daughter, Robin Clement Godino and her partner Bruce Ruzzoli, and his son Ryan Clement all of Norridgewock; two grandsons, Dominic Godino and Daxton Godino; his sister, Roberta Ronco and her husband Carl; his mother and father-in-law, Phil and Bessie Johnson; sister-in-law, Nancy Clement, brother-in-law, Cyp and wife Cindy Johnson, brother-in-law, Ned Johnson and wife Michelle; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dicky was predeceased by his parents, Theron and Florist “Tickey” Clement; brother, Dennis Clement; and nephew, Ron Ronco.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00 at the Federated Church in Skowhegan Maine on the island.
