PITTSTON – Michael E. Galarneau 73, passed away on February 10, 2022 at Maine Medical Center. He was born in Columbia, Mississippi on August 29, 1948 son of Ludger and Ann (Sinclair) Galarneau.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Maine, Machias, a master’s degree from USM and a certificate of advanced study. He taught at the Windsor School for 17 years where he also coached soccer and softball. He then was a teacher and principal in the Brunswick School system for 21 years.
He spent many weekends as a hockey referee at the Kennebec Ice Arena.
Mike is survived by his wife of 52 years, Colette, his son Thomas and wife Jessica, and two grandsons, Trenton and Jackson, all of New Hampshire, and his sister JoAnn Mann and her husband Ernie of Horseheads, N.Y.
A private “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.
