FORT MYERS, Fla. — Colby College left-hander Nate Sugarbaker pitched a complete game four-hitter to lead the Mules to a 4-2 baseball win against Oneonta State on Monday.
Colby fell 5-2 to Oneonta in the second game and stands at 3-3 overall on its 12-game Florida trip.
Sugarbacker, who has battled injuries his first two years at Colby, struck out two and walked two. Brendan Gallagher paced the Mules with three hits while Jake Kramer added two and John Schroder had a two-run single.
Colby starter Mark Collins allowed one run in five innings of the second game, but Oneonta posted the win after scoring three unearned runs in the seventh. Kevin Galvin led the Mules with a double and single.
