Robert “Bob-O” Camera
NORRIDGEWOCK – Robert “Bob-O” Camera, 55, of Norridgewock, Maine, transitioned into eternity on Feb. 2, 2022, due to a tragic car accident in Fairfield, Maine.
Bobby was born on June 8, 1966, in Meriden, Conn. Bob-O was a spunky boy growing up and lived his life on his own terms. He spent most of his adult years participating in motorcycle clubs and loved to ride his Harleys. His love for art was displayed on the many unique tattoos he had. Under the tough exterior, Bob-O was known for his generous and kind heart and selfless nature, always looking for ways to volunteer, help or donate to anyone in need and never expecting anything in return.
If Bob-O loved you, he loved you fearlessly and there was nothing he would not do for you. In the past year Bobby became a true teddy bear. His greatest desire was to leave the state of Maine in the summer of 2023 with his sister Dawn and wife Susan where they intended to buy a plot of land to live on together in Georgia. He looked forward to a peaceful, stress free, simple life with those that loved him most. His last year with them was filled with joy, love, laughter, and new experiences. It was as if he was like a little boy again experiencing life for the first time as he entered the next chapter of his life. Bobby enjoyed fishing, building, watching movies, collecting, plowing, and visiting new places. He was a skilled carpenter, a gifted poet, and an incredible writer of children’s stories.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 18-and-a-half years, Susan Frank; his son, Robert Camera, Jr., III; his daughters, Amy Tucker-Leo, and Casey Camera; his stepsons, Leo Baran, Colin Statkiewicz and Joshua Statkiewicz; his loving mother, Brigitte (Paul) Bibeault; his father, Robert Camera, Sr.; his brothers, William Malone and Romaine Camera; his sister and best friend, Dawn Camera-Roberts; his half-sisters, Amanda Douglas and Joette Lane; his stepsister, Marie Bellows; eight grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Bobby was predeceased by his daughter, Jessica Camera; and his stepmother, Roberta Camera.
There will be a private Celebration of Life with immediate family in the summer of 2022. However, a FaceBook Page has been created in memory of Bobby. All are welcome to share pics and stories so that Bob-O’s memory can continue to live on with us all.
Arrangements are in the care of Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield where memories may be shared, and an online register book signed by visiting www.familyfirstfuneralhomes.com.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local children’s library or boys and girls club.
