WATERVILLE — The Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce handed out its annual awards Wednesday night at Waterville Elks Banquet & Conference Center.

More than 400 people attended the 49th annual event, which celebrated the chamber’s 100th anniversary and was a sold-out event, according to Kimberly N. Lindlof, the chamber’s president and chief executive officer.

Gilman “Gil” Pelletier received the Distinguished Community Service Award; Pamela Kick, Business Person of the Year award; Central Maine Disposal, Business of the Year award; Waterville Public Library, Community Service Project Award; Barbara Covey, Outstanding Professional Award; Bruce Harrington, Rising Star Award; and Darla Frost, Customer Service Star Award.
