BATH Holden McKenney drove in three runs, and Beck Jorgensen had a double and two RBIs Friday as the Erskine Academy baseball team defeated Morse to notch its ninth straight win.

Erskine (11-1) scored four runs in the second inning and led 5-3 after Morses two-run fourth. The Eagles then clinched it with a two-run seventh.

Gabe Aucoin and Braylon Williams each had two hits for Morse (4-8).

 

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 12, HALL-DALE 4: The Mustangs turned a competitive game into a rout late by scoring six runs in the seventh inning to top the Bulldogs in Farmingdale.

Manny Calder crushed a home run and hit a single for Monmouth (10-2), which also got three hits from Owen Harding and two hits each from Sammy Calder and Hayden Fletcher. Isaac Olivera was the winning pitcher for the Mustangs.

For Hall-Dale (7-5), Max Byron hit a double and took the loss on the mound, and Cody Dupont had two singles.

 

MT. ABRAM 21, CARRABEC 0, 5 INNINGS: The Roadrunners exploded for 10 runs in the fourth-inning as part of a blowout win over the Cobras in Salem.

Trevor Phelps hit for the cycle for Mt. Abram (9-2) as he finished with four hits on the day and also claimed the win on the mound. The Roadrunners also got two singles each from Logan Dube, Peyton Mitchell and Ash Rollins as well as doubles from Ian Allen and Tucker Plouffe.

Trenton Smith was the losing pitcher for Carrabec (2-9).

SOFTBALL

 

WINTHROP 12, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2, 5 INNINGS: The Ramblers took care of the Phoenix in five innings for the Mountain Valley Conference win in Winthrop.

Maddie Perkins notched four hits and was a home run away from the cycle for Winthrop (7-5), while Julia Letourneau hit a double and drove home three runs in the victory. Ella Rice had two hits, and teammates Lydia Rice and Bella Littler both hit home runs.

Leah Burgess led Spruce Mountain (4-8) with two hits.

OCEANSIDE 16, CONY 14: Jillian Barnard cracked a 3-run homer to lead the Mariners to a win over the Rams in Augusta.

Aubri Hoose had three singles and a double for Oceanside (5-6).

Sage Fortin had two doubles for Cony (5-6), while Alivia St. Peter, Torrie Webber and Addi Level each added two hits.

 

MADISON 15, LISBON 0, 5 INNINGS: Aribelle Linkletter had three hits, including a triple, and had four RBIs for the Bulldogs in an MVC win over the Greyhounds in Madison.

Brooke McKenney allowed just one hit and struck out 11 batters to earn the win in the circle for Madison (11-1).

Lisbon falls to 2-8.

 

BOYS LACROSSE

 

MESSALONSKEE 12, BRUNSWICK 7: The Eagles got multiple goals from four different players en route to a Class B victory over the Dragons in Oakland.

Messalonskee (9-1) got four goals and five assists from Will Durkee, three goals and one assist from Walter Fegel, two goals each from Ty Caouette and Nate Castner (two assists) and one goal and one assist from Rhys Bridges. Ian McCurdy made nine saves for the Eagles in net.

For Brunswick (5-3), Thomas Labbe and Albert Putnam netted two goals, and Nick Marro had one. The Dragons got five saves from Jake Reeves.
